Alright, guys, here are the flags that reflect my heritages.



These flags represent the Philippines, Japan, China, Korea, Spain, France, Germany, and Italy. I'm actually from the Philippines and I'm basically fluent in Tagalog, Kapampangan, English, and Spanish but I'm looking forward in learning more Japanese (I can read Katakana and Hiragana), Korean (I can read Han'geul), Mandarin, Fukienese, Cantonese, Catalan, French, German, Italian, and other languages. I don't know why I am so fascinated in learning different languages. Perhaps there could be a reason. And whatever it could be, I'm so excited to know about it!

But sad to say, I don't have anymore enough time to immerse myself on those languages since I work in the evening for 9 hours and I sleep for the whole day. Well, who knows? I might become fluent on the languages that I would like to study!

부익부, 빈익빈의 남조선사회

Just got this video from Korean Central Television from Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It's about their viewpoint about the poverty in their neighbouring nation of what they call as Namjoseon (남조선) also known as South Korea.



Just to express my own viewpoint, every country have forms of poverty in certain people and regions. But above else, NO COMMENT.

Il Mio Compleanno

Happy 23rd Birthday to me!

There's nothing I could ask for! To all who made their greetings for me, either verbally or through my Facebook and Friendster accounts, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I'm so grateful that I have met persons like you guys!

First of all, I would like to thank God for the blessings that He has given me. This is, that is to say, the best pre-Yuletide Season for me. Our Omnipotent One never brought me down, despite the fact that I'm a very sinful person. But guess what? This only proves that God is so loving to all of us. Of course, we can never avoid trials and shortcomings that come into our lives. And so, all of us should never forget to give praise and thanks to our ever-loving Creator.

And now I would like to thank my mommy who has been taking care of me ever since. I know that I'm not a good child that she expects from me, but I know that I truly love her. And now, it's now my turn to share some of my blessings to her.

And to my friends and relatives who understand and accept me as who and what I am, ARIGATOU GOZAIMASU! If it's not because of them, I would have not been that strong and determined. They also bring me joy and inspiration to move on with my mundane journey.

At sa mga taong naging espesyal sa akin, MARAMING SALAMAT SA INYO. Naging mas matatag ako lalo dahil sa inyo. MANY MANY THANKS!

Funny English of Lee Da Hae (이다해 - 李多海)

Here's a video about Lee Da Hae who demonstrated different accents of English in UK, USA, and the Philippines. But here's something funny yet offensive to other Filipinos especially to the Filipino teachers who teach English to Koreans.



Guess I was once an English teacher to Koreans. It wasn't actually offensive for me since it was only for fun. And I do believe that Lee Da Hae didn't mean to offend Filipinos. At least, she did apologise to the Filipinos. At least, she has the talent to mimic other accents.

But wait a minute... it wasn't even Filipino accent! I bet, she used the accent of other Asians who speak English in that way. But I found her very funny!

And here's her statement about the issue on her Twitter account:



First I'd like to give you my sincere apologies for what seems to be a misunderstanding.

It has come to my attention that many of you from the Philippines have posted comments protesting that i was being derisive by mimicking Filipinos when they speak English.

Therefore, in light of this matter I'd like to take this opportunity to clear the air.
In spite of what many people believe, I myself did NOT mention anything
about the Philippines or Filipino accent whilst on the TV show.

On the other hand I recall bringing up Southeast Asia and not the Philippines and the subtitles were inserted when the show was being edited of which I was not aware of until it was aired.

The TV show where this footage was taken from was designed to amuse its audience and my sole purpose was to entertain the viewers by coming up with lighthearted stories.

Since the producer knows that i speak English he asked me if I could
share any episodes that touch upon the English language.

As we all know every country has a typical accent when its people speak English (including myself) so after giving it some thought, I came up with a few lines where I simply tried to compare different English accents: the somewhat rigid British accent and beginners in Southeast Asia whose English tends to be a little hard-edged. No pun or ridicule was intended.

As an individual who use to take English classes over the phone with a Filipino instructor, I give you my word that even the mere thought of mocking Filipinos would never cross my mind.
I cannot tell you how much Filipino fans mean to me and as much as I love them, I would in no way
hurt or upset them.

I hope I have clarified any misunderstandings and once again I am truly sorry if I inadvertently
hurt anyone's feelings.

Sa mga kababayan kong Pilipino lalo na sa mga kapwa kong tagapagturo ng wikang Ingles sa mga Koreano, huwag nating tignan sa masyadong malalim na kahulugan. Kung titignan niyo naman po ang ginawa niya, para lamang po iyon sa pangkasayahan. At isa pa, sana po ay naging sapat na ang paghingi niya ng paumanhin. Hindi po sa kinakampihan ko po siya, pero wala po sanang away, OK? We Asians should be united as one, because we are gaining high praises from different people around the world. And besides, Christmas is fast approaching! PEACE ON EARTH! PEACE AMONG FILIPINOS AND KOREANS!

Ahora estoy cansado, pero no tengo sueño. ¿Pero bueno qué? No me importa después de todo. Estoy muy feliz en mi vida hermosa, y lo agredezco la gente quien siempre me hace sentir como soy joven.

As you see, this blog is about to be filled with entries in idioma castellano. It's sad to know that the Spanish language is not anymore the official language of the Philippines, the mere fact that the Philippines is the first oriental nation that had the Spanish language adopted.

Bueno, eso es todo por ahora. Tengo que jugar Plants VS Zombies, y entoces voy a dormir para muchas horas. Mi cuerpo y mi alma están cansado. Mientras estudio el español, afilo también mis habilidades en hablando los idiomas japonés y coreano. Ciao!
