First of all, I would like to thank God for all the blessings He has shared to me and to my loved ones as well. If it's not because of our Omnipotent One, I'll never have a very wonderful job like what I have right now. DEO GRATIAS!
Gaya ng aking mga nakaraang taon, ang dami ring nangyari sa taong ito. I must say, maayos naman ang taon na ito para sa akin - not good, but no bad. Sapat lang, ikanga. But those moments were worth it dahil wala akong pinagsisihan sa mga nagawa ko sa taon na ito. What for should I regret for para sa mga sablay ang ikinalabas? Hindi ata ako umaatras, hahaha!
Ayun, ang masasabi ko lang ay maging maganda sana ang pasok ng 2011 sa akin dahil naging maganda ang pasok ng 2010 sa akin. And by the way, gusto ko na ring magpasalamat sa lahat na naging bahagi ng buhay ko sa taon na ito. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

As the cool breeze of December caresses my body, I don't feel any sort of relaxation. Maybe because my Christmas was not that happy. But anyway, something outbursting yet fulfilling moment happened to me.
I don't know how to explain it here, but it was one of the unforgettable highlights of my life. Of course, it's not yet the time to share it with you. As Pinoy Big Brother said: "malalaman niyo rin sa TAKDANG PANAHON."
But all I can say: NO REGRETS! I'M NOW OFFICIALLY ADULT! BYE BYE CHILDHOOD!
But still, the childhood in me will never fade away! ;)

Ilang taon na rin ang paninilbihan ko sa simbahang ito, at masasabi kong narito ang malaking bahagi ng puso at isip ko. Ito rin kasi ang kauna-unahang church organisation na sinalihan ko bago ang Special Ministry of the Word sa San Bartolome Parish, and then Living Hope Chorale at Coro de San Lorenzo sa San Exequiel Moreno Parish. And I'm so thankful na nakakapag-serve pa rin ako doon.

Guess I'll be celebrating the first few hours of Christmas 2010 here in our call centre company with my colleagues. It will also be my first to have Noche Buena in our company as well. After all, I'm a call centre agent working on graveyard shift. But you know what? My steadfast gratitude to our Creator will never cease as long as my soul exists. And the reason? I'm filled with His perpetual blessings that no other super being could ever do.
As for now, I missed the first Misa de Gallo. And by the way, Misa de Gallo is the tradition of the Filipino Catholics that starts on the dawn of December 16 and ends on the evening of December 24. Since my night-offs are every Friday and Saturday, I still have the chance to attend at least two Misa de Gallos. After all, a faithful member of Roman Catholic Church like me should give praise and thanks to the Omnipotent One through attending the Misa de Gallo.
Honestly speaking, I can't feel the spirit of Christmas. Perhaps, I've been busy in my work for long and I never had a chance to pamper myself. But course, people are still happy despite of the current political and socio-economic status of the Philippines. Ganun kasi ang isang tipikal na Pilipino eh. Kaya nga pinipilit ko ring magpakasaya.
In fact, I asked my mom not to install the Christmas lights anymore since there's an increase in the electricity fee. And besides, lilipas din ang Pasko kahit na walang dekorasyon sa bahay namin. Pero napagtanto ko ring kailangan ding papasukin ang diwa ng Pasko sa aming bahay para man lang maging masaya. I could still remember that I used to be excited whenever Christmas arrives. But now that I'm in the stage of young adulthood, it's like I can't go with the the flow anymore, especially in this Yuletide Season.
Perhaps, I almost have let go of my childhood because of my exposure to my career as a call centre agent. At ayun nga, halos wala na akong balita sa mga pangyayari dahil sabak ako sa trabaho ng gabi at tulog-diwa naman ako sa araw. It's kinda hard, isn't it?

It's the feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Sad to say, I wasn't able to attend the Holy Mass because I woke up at 5:30 PM and the mass started at 6:00 PM. But anyway, maraming salamat sa Tambalang Balahura at Balasubas na sina Nicolehyala at Chris Tsuper dahil naalala ko ang naturang Kapistahan. Siksik liglig na umaapaw... TING!
Ganun talaga kapag subsob na sa trabaho. You almost don't know kung ano na ang nangyayari sa kapaligiran. Dahil buong magdamag akong nakababad sa trabaho at buong maghapon naman akong natutulog. Nevertheless, I enjoy my work. Yun nga lang, halos wala na rin akong panahon sa sarili ko. I can't even enjoy my night-offs on weekends because I only stay at home with my brand new Nokia C3-00 mobile phone. Honestly, I want to break free, but I can't do it because I'm now in the stage of true adulthood. I'm not anymore a kid nor a teenager to think of childish matters. But my heart and mind is still attached with those kind of matters. I really can't let go of my childhood life.
And as I'm doing this blog entry here in my office, dito ko na rin marahil naibubuhos yung kaunting bigat sa kalooban ko. Speaking of my relationship with my mom, maayos naman kami kahit na may alitan sa amin paminsan-minsan. Pero ganun talaga kapag mahal niyo ang isa't isa. About my friends, ayun at hindi ko na rin sila nakakasama nang madalas lalo na't may trabaho na ang iba sa amin habang mga tambay pa ang marami sa kanila (Peace my friends! I love you!). Pero sana naman ay makahanap na rin sila ng maayos na trabaho.
But you know what? Ngayong sandali ko lang napagtanto, that this is a big blessing for me. You know why? From an ordinary account in our call centre company, I was promoted to work for an account in Spanish language. And Spanish means more money! And what is amazing about this? I was the only one in our Spanish account who did not take any course in Spanish! Isn't it that great? But still, I need to take a Spanish course to sharpen my overall proficiency, puesto que el idioma español es uno de mis idiomas favoritos. Pero quiero aprender el japonés y el coreano más que español e italiano, jajaja.
Vale, voy a trabajar otra vez. Tengo que recibir más llamadas para recibir más dinero, jajaja. PAALAM!

These flags represent the Philippines, Japan, China, Korea, Spain, France, Germany, and Italy. I'm actually from the Philippines and I'm basically fluent in Tagalog, Kapampangan, English, and Spanish but I'm looking forward in learning more Japanese (I can read Katakana and Hiragana), Korean (I can read Han'geul), Mandarin, Fukienese, Cantonese, Catalan, French, German, Italian, and other languages. I don't know why I am so fascinated in learning different languages. Perhaps there could be a reason. And whatever it could be, I'm so excited to know about it!
But sad to say, I don't have anymore enough time to immerse myself on those languages since I work in the evening for 9 hours and I sleep for the whole day. Well, who knows? I might become fluent on the languages that I would like to study!
Just got this video from Korean Central Television from Democratic People's Republic of Korea. It's about their viewpoint about the poverty in their neighbouring nation of what they call as Namjoseon (남조선) also known as South Korea.
Just to express my own viewpoint, every country have forms of poverty in certain people and regions. But above else, NO COMMENT.

First of all, I would like to thank God for the blessings that He has given me. This is, that is to say, the best pre-Yuletide Season for me. Our Omnipotent One never brought me down, despite the fact that I'm a very sinful person. But guess what? This only proves that God is so loving to all of us. Of course, we can never avoid trials and shortcomings that come into our lives. And so, all of us should never forget to give praise and thanks to our ever-loving Creator.
And now I would like to thank my mommy who has been taking care of me ever since. I know that I'm not a good child that she expects from me, but I know that I truly love her. And now, it's now my turn to share some of my blessings to her.
And to my friends and relatives who understand and accept me as who and what I am, ARIGATOU GOZAIMASU! If it's not because of them, I would have not been that strong and determined. They also bring me joy and inspiration to move on with my mundane journey.

Here's a video about Lee Da Hae who demonstrated different accents of English in UK, USA, and the Philippines. But here's something funny yet offensive to other Filipinos especially to the Filipino teachers who teach English to Koreans.
Guess I was once an English teacher to Koreans. It wasn't actually offensive for me since it was only for fun. And I do believe that Lee Da Hae didn't mean to offend Filipinos. At least, she did apologise to the Filipinos. At least, she has the talent to mimic other accents.
But wait a minute... it wasn't even Filipino accent! I bet, she used the accent of other Asians who speak English in that way. But I found her very funny!
And here's her statement about the issue on her Twitter account:
First I'd like to give you my sincere apologies for what seems to be a misunderstanding.
It has come to my attention that many of you from the Philippines have posted comments protesting that i was being derisive by mimicking Filipinos when they speak English.
Therefore, in light of this matter I'd like to take this opportunity to clear the air. In spite of what many people believe, I myself did NOT mention anything about the Philippines or Filipino accent whilst on the TV show.
On the other hand I recall bringing up Southeast Asia and not the Philippines and the subtitles were inserted when the show was being edited of which I was not aware of until it was aired.
The TV show where this footage was taken from was designed to amuse its audience and my sole purpose was to entertain the viewers by coming up with lighthearted stories.
Since the producer knows that i speak English he asked me if I could share any episodes that touch upon the English language.
As we all know every country has a typical accent when its people speak English (including myself) so after giving it some thought, I came up with a few lines where I simply tried to compare different English accents: the somewhat rigid British accent and beginners in Southeast Asia whose English tends to be a little hard-edged. No pun or ridicule was intended.
As an individual who use to take English classes over the phone with a Filipino instructor, I give you my word that even the mere thought of mocking Filipinos would never cross my mind. I cannot tell you how much Filipino fans mean to me and as much as I love them, I would in no way hurt or upset them.
I hope I have clarified any misunderstandings and once again I am truly sorry if I inadvertently hurt anyone's feelings.

It's been more than a month since I started working in my latest company. But this one is really different from my previous jobs. It was really fun, and I really love my newest job. Nevertheless, I lose a lot of time for myself. I don't any more have time to mingle with my friends. And my identity as a netizen has decreased. Wanna know my usual activities? HOUSE and OFFICE. SLEEP and WORK. That's it.
And I must confess, I still can't let go of my childhood life. But like what they say, life goes on and on. I must accept the fact that I'm a fully grown young adult. My childhood stage has passed away, as well as my teenage life. But I must say, I really love my life. And I'm proud of what I am right now.
Well folks, that's it for now. Parang nagugutom na naman ako, eh kakakain ko lang kanina! Ano ba itong metabolismo ko?! Kaya tuloy sobra akong payat ngayon. Mataas kung mataas ang sweldo, lalo na kapag regular ka na at nakakatanggap ka pa ng maraming bonus batay sa performance, productivity, attendance, at iba pa. Kaya nga marami ang mga na-eengganyong mag-trabaho sa ganung uri ng industriya.
Ang malungkot nga lang... halos wala nang oras ang karamihan sa amin para sa sarili. Good thing, and I'm still single, kaya wala ako gaanong iniintindi pa. Ang kaso naman sa mga may pamilya na, kailangan pa nilang asikasuhin ang mga asawa't anak nila. Kung sa bagay, hindi pa naman sumasagi sa isip ko na magkaroon na rin ng sariling pamilya. It's just that I still enjoy my life bilang bata at single.
At ang mas nakakalungkot pa... hindi ko na rin nagagawa yung mga nakagisnan kong gawin noong hindi pa ako nagta-trabaho. Pero ganun talaga ang buhay -- it just goes on and on. And I have to face the fact that I'm the stage of real adulthood. Pero aaminin ko, mahirap pa rin sa akin na bitawan ang buhay-kabataan.
Ang maganda nga lang, may kakayahan din akong sustentuhan ang sarili ko at kaya ko pang makatulong sa iba lalo na sa mga kamag-anak ko. Masarap din kasing tumutulong din ako sa iba. Pero siyempre, dapat din akong magtira sa sarili ko.

It's already Autumn in northern hemisphere whereas it's spring in southern hemisphere. Ang bilis talaga tumakbo ng panahon. Naaalala ko pa noong bago pa lang ako sa pagba-blog. At heto, I have a lot of entries here. Halo-halong kwento, awit, at kung ano-ano pa. Aside from my diary, naging takbuhan ko itong blog ko sa ano mang kalagayan ng damdamin ko.
It's so funny how destiny moves. Eh paano, mayroon kang inaasahang isang bagay, pero hindi naman dumarating sa iyo. Ngunit isang araw na lang, habang nakalutang sa kawalan ang isip mo, basta na lang mangyayari yung bagay na nais mong mangyari noon. Minsan, may nagdidikta sa iyo mula sa kawalan na dapat mo nang gawin ang isang bagay habang mayroon pang pagkakataon. So hence, destiny is a matter of chance and choice.
I'll give you my first example. May nagbukas noon na supermarket sa Monumento, at saka naalala ko na magsho-show doon ang friend kong si Roxanne Guinoo. Bale matagal ko na rin siyang hindi nakikita noong time na yun. At nagkita rin kami doon. By the way, she just gave birth like few days ago, at nagkita naman kami bago sila nag-discharge from the hospital. Congratulations to her!
Another example is about my admittance to Coro de San Lorenzo. Noong member pa ako ng Living Hope Chorale, aware na rin ako sa existence ng Coro de San Lorenzo. But I saw something mystical about their choir group. Magaan talaga ang loob ko everytime I see them. Kaya noong umalis ako sa Living Hope Chorale at nagkaroon ako ng pagkakataong makausap sila ay ginawa ko na. At ngayon, mas magaan na ang loob ko sa paglilingkod sa Kaitaasan.
And my last example is about sa pagmi-meet namin ng super idol kong si Vincent Bueno. Ever since na ipinalabas si Vincent Bueno sa TV tungkol sa pagkapanalo niya sa Musical! Die Show ay agad na akong nagkaroon ng paghanga sa kanya. Siya rin ang naging inspirasyon ko sa tuwing kakanta ako sa simbahan. And he's so very talented. This time, I don't know if it was just a co-incidence or it was meant to happen.
After I went to Eastwood, I was planning to go to Market! Market! in Taguig City via C-5 Road. But the jeepney driver put me off to Ortigas Avenue, and I didn't what to do. And then I decided to go to Robinson's Galleria instead. At the Galleria, I was physically weak and was disoriented. Para bang ang dami-daming pumapasok sa isip ko. Tila baga'y paranoid na ako.
Nang nakita ko ang Dairy Queen, naalala ko yung mga dati kong co-teachers. I really missed them a lot. Kaya umorder na lang ako ng una kong inorder -- Strawberry Oreo. I really can't resist yung kasarapan. Hanggang sa nakita ko yung taong napaka-pamilyar sa akin -- si VINCENT BUENO!
May kasama siya nun, and I tried to follow him. Hanggang sa napa-order na rin ako sa isang food stall na ino-orderan nila. I did not hesitate na magpakilala sa kanya... auf DEUTSCH!
At ayun, bonding moments na namin while eating. Hanggang sa hinatid na ako ni Kuya Vincent sa Greenbelt. I must say, DOWN-TO-EARTH si Kuya Vincent. And safe to say, we both admire each other's talents, bagay na ikina-flatter ko naman.
I don't know yet kung ano ang purpose ng pagkikita namin ni Kuya Vincent. But as the saying goes, "Everything happens for a REASON." at alam ko ngang may dahilan sa kabila nun. Kung ano man yun, bahala na si Lord! GUTE NACHT!

Well folks, I must say that this is one of the most happiest moments of my existence. WHAT A MAJOR MAJOR FUN!
It all started when we planned for our Team Building for our choir group. And through heaven's goodness, it was not a rainy day until we got ourselves home. Buti na lang at umulan noong nakauwi na kami. Habang buhay kong dadalhin ang alaala ko sa Coro de San Lorenzo. I thank God dahil napunta ako sa grupong may layunin na mapalapit sa Diyos.
May Bible study na naganap kaakibat ng mga laro. Special thanks sa aming mga facilitators because they made our activity possible. At salamat sa mga ka-choir ko dahil nakasama ko sila sa aming ultimate bonding experience. At sa mga hindi nakasama kanina, sana makasama naman kayo next time.
I must say, heto na ang pinakamasayang grupo na nakasama ko. Sana naman, maging ganun din sa ibang grupo na sinalihan ko. Kung puwede nga lang, magkasama-sama ang mga organisation kong Coro de San Lorenzo, Knights of the Altar, Special Ministry of the Word, at lahat ng kasali sa Parish Youth Ministry ng San Exequiel Moreno Parish, San Bartolome Parish, at Holy Family Parish!

I just arrived from my chorale service. That's it. And I'll be in another church activity by noon time.
To all the readers of this blog, you have probably noticed that this blog of mine is infused with different languages, particularly Austronesian, Indo-European, Altaic, and even Sino-Tibetan. As we all know, these language families have dominated our mundane society, most especially the Indo-European languages. It only proved how Europeans had explored the world. For instance, British settlers took with them the English languages in Canada, Australia, South Africa, India, and others. Spaniards took much control of Latin America, as well as my country, the Philippines. Portuguese conquered and ruled Brazil, Angola, Mozambique, Macau, East Timor, and so on. French language dominated in many African nations.
Anyway, let me share to you my knowledge in some languages. And I'm going to cite some notes about those languages.
TAGALOG: Tagalog is the basis of the Filipino language. It is also the lingua franca of the Filipinos abroad. By the way, Tagalog is my native language. And I speak it in Manila accent, since Metro Manila is my hometown. Moreover, I tried mimicking Bulacan and Batangas accent, but I never perfected those accents, since I never grew up with the people who speak in those dialects. Ayos ba tayo diyan? Wagas!
KAPAMPANGAN/PAMPANGO: Kapampangan is also my native language, but I speak it in unusual accent. The reason is that I don't have much contacts with Kapampangan speakers. I only learned Kapampangan through my mom. Of all her siblings, she is the only one who speaks more Kapampangan. I must say, Kapampangan language is in slow decline because of the dominance of the Filipino language throughout the Philippines. When I was in Angeles City last two days ago, I heard some children spoke in Tagalog rather than in Kapampangan. And even the language of instruction is Tagalog. Sana pin, mabiye ya pa ing Amanung Siswan.
ENGLISH: It was the Americans who brought English in our country, and not the Britons. And American English is the basis of the English language of the Philippines. And the surprising fact? Many Filipinos cannot fully understand English when spoken in any variety of British or Australian accents. And because English is more used than Spanish, English eventually replaced Spanish as one of the official languages of the Philippines alongside Filipino language. And do you know the reason why many Koreans migrate here? It's so simple. They come here to study English.
SPANISH (ESPAÑOL): Have you noticed why most of the Filipinos' last names are Spanish? It's so simple. Spain ruled our country for over 3 centuries. And the connection? Spaniards inter-married with native Filipinos. And others had their Christian name in Spanish when they got baptised. But Spanish is not anymore one of the official languages of the Philippines. The Instituto Cervantes is perhaps the only educational institution in the Philippines that uses Spanish in teaching. But at least, I have a fair grasp in that language. And as I immersed myself in Spanish, I then knew that Spanish has several varieties, just like English. But the "Spaniard's Spanish" is my basis for my spoken Spanish. Vale, el idioma castellano es lindo como el viento suave.
FRENCH (FRANÇAIS): Nothing can ever be as romantic as French! Whenever I hear it in Parisian accent, it feels like I'm in the romantic city of Paris. But actually, I would like to visit Lourdes, situated in the Pyrenees. And Paris is only the second. So impossible as it may seem, but I would like to gain more knowledge in that romantic language. For what? I'm just fascinated in that language. And I thought, the /r/ sound in French was challenging. But I like making the /r/ sound! Très bien, mon cherie!
GERMAN (DEUTSCH): It was not anymore challenging for me when I knew that German is very related to English. That is, they are both Germanic languages. I'll give you an example. Der Wasser ist Kalt. If you think the English equivalent is "The water is cold.", then you're correct! And here's another one. Wer ist mein Vater? Wo ist mein Bruder? What do you think? If you think "Where is my father? Who is my brother?" is the answer, then you are WRONG! HAHAHAHAHA! Actually, "wo" is "where", whereas "wer" is "who". And before, I got a mistake about that, hihihi! Ich will eine Reise nach Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, und Belgien zu machen. Und will ich die Deutschesprache zu lernen!
JAPANESE (日本語): J-Pop had made success in the Philippines. The song "Sweet Soul Revue" by Pizzicato Five was a big smash in many Philippine charts. And until now, it's still one of my favourite songs. And for me, Japanese is not a difficult language. The problem is, I don't have much exposure in Japanese media. But I do believe, Japanese is not complicated to be learned. And guess what? I love Super Sentai more than Power Rangers! And through Tokusatsu series, I get a chance to acquire some knowledge in Japanese. お楽しみに！
KOREAN (한국어/조선말): The so-called "Korean Wave" has made its way in the Philippine Islands. And the Philippine audience gave high praises for many Korean artists, such as BoA, Se7en, Rain, Super Junior, Girls' Generation, 2NE1, Big Bang, Wonder Girls, and many other more. Hopefully, OPM will also be known in Korea. Anyway, Charice Pempengco, Christian Bautista, and Lea Salonga are some of the Philippine artists who made successful crossovers in different countries. Well, what some people don't know is that Korean language exists in different dialects. For instance, the Seoul dialect is spoken in Seoul Metropolitan Area and Gyeonggi-do, and is the basis for the Korean language in South Korea. The Pyeong'an dialect is spoken in Pyongyang, Pyeong'anbuk-do, Pyeong'annam-do, and Chagang-do, and is the basis of the Korean language in North Korea. Other dialects include Chungcheong, Jeolla, Gangwon, Gyeongsang, Jeju, Hwanghae, and Hamgyeong. 힘내라!
ITALIAN (ITALIANO) It's not suprising why the Italian language is the closest resemblance of the Latin language. Just like all Romance languages, Italian directly descended from Latin. And Latin was once spoken in the Italian peninsula. Hence, Italian had retained most of the characteristics of Latin. Just like French, Italian language sounds very romantic! And I noticed before, I was able to understand some Italian (that is, the written Italian and not the spoken one) because of its numerous cognates with Spanish. And I started to study Spanish when I was in late elementary. But I already knew before that Spanish and Italian are very related to each other, but I didn't had yet an idea that they are both direct descendants of Latin. How about some plate of spaghetti or lasagna? Perfettamente!
PORTUGUESE (PORTUGUÊS) Portuguese is one of the world's major languages. And Brazil is the largest Portuguese-speaking country. However, different Portuguese dialects arose as its speakers from different countries became diverse from each other. Brazilian Portuguese is now a bit different from Iberian Portuguese (from Iberian peninsula where Portugal is). Speaking of the Portuguese language itself, its written form resembles Spanish, but its spoken form may sound more like French. Anyway, that's the spirit of the Portuguese language. Obrigado!

Inyang miras ku king Clark, migpaynawa ku pa ketang tindahan. And then mengan ku pa. Tapos seli kung Choco Twirl king Jollibee. Medyu mapali na, kasi ala ne ing bagyu. At saka minta ku king computer shop ning Koreanu (pero e ke kakilala ing Koreanu).
Migbuklat kung Facebook para lawen ku la reng kanakung notifications ampong messages. So far, ala nakumang importanting mensayi. Pero anyang ikit ke maka-online ing ka-luguran kung taga Tarlac... keni ya mengumpisa ing kwentu ku.

About an hour ya pala ing biyahe mula Angeles anggang Concepcion. Kaluwat na kasi ning jeep ay asaken ku. In fairness, super barrio ya setting. What if tumuknang ku king baryu, ing tipung marayu king kabiasnan?
